Exquisite Corpse
Play for one performer and eleven directors
Based on the model of “Exquisite Corpse - Cadavre Exquis”, a collective writing game invented by the surrealists in 1925,
eleven directors (choreographers, videographers, directors, in the street, on the dance floor, etc.) were
invited to direct a single circus performer : Elodie Guézou.
In this solo, each director created a 5-minute art form. Each received
the same rules of the game on the theme of " identity and the gaze of the other ", being aware
only the last ten seconds of the previous sentence.
Each director becomes the leader in play, the leader of the “I”.
Exquisiste Corpse questions the condition of the interpreter and provokes an encounter, an experience
playing identity projections
Contorted course
Course for 4 contortionists and public space
The piece is an artistic exploration of contortion , performed by four contortionists in public space.
The show questions the notion of professional success through personal testimonies , highlighting the impact of an atypical career on private life and the body.
Between admiration and incomprehension, contortion is presented as an often marginalized profession , arousing both fascination and concern.
The performance, approximately 45 minutes long, takes place in an urban setting, with fixed stages and wanderings, offering an intimate portrait of the art of bending over backwards, both physically and symbolically .
